FAQ

  • A Wedding Planner

helps you plan the wedding from start to finish, including vendor selection, design, budgeting, and timeline creation. A Day-of Coordinator steps in closer to your event date (usually 4-8 weeks prior) to organize final details and manage the wedding day itself. Think: Planner = the architect, Coordinator = the stage manager.

  • Venue coordinators focus on the venue: catering, floor plans, and anything directly involving their staff or property. A Wedding Planner/Coordinator focuse on YOU: your timeline, your decor, your vendors, your details, and making your day run smoothly. Two totally different roles.

  • Most couples book Planners 12-18 months out and Coordinators 6-12 months out. If your date is peak season or popular, earlier is better.

  • We create and manage the timeline, communicate with vendors, handle setup and tear-down details, manage the processional, direct guests, solve problems before they reach you, and keep the entire event on schedule. We are the invisible glue.

  • Yes, within reason. We will coordinate and style decor you provide such as signage, table placements, special displays, favors, etc. Specialty installs or heavy labor may require additional staffing or vendor support.

  • We have vendors we trust and love recommending, but we happily work with new vendors too. Our goal is to match you with vendors who fit your style and budget.

  • This varies depending on your package. Typically planners meet multiple times throughout the planning process, while coordinators meet during the last few weeks leading up to your wedding.

  • Yes. We coordinate and lead your ceremony rehearsal to ensure your wedding party feels confident and knows their cues.

  • Yes. The planner/coordinator you hire will be your primary point of contact, unless otherwise specified. If additional assistants are needed, you’ll know in advance.

  • Typically, yes — from setup to send-off. Some packages have hour limitations, but most include full wedding day coverage.

  • Absolutely. We often assist with layout flow, seating logistics, capacity considerations, and designing a guest-friendly space.

  • We troubleshoot it so you never even know. We are professional problem-solvers and handle everything from weather adjustments to vendor delays to family dynamics.

  • The job includes months of communication,

planning time, design work, coordination, logistics, vendor management, timeline creation, rehearsal direction, full event day management, assistants, insurance, and years of professional experience. You’re paying for peace of mind.

  • Yes! Many couples love the process of planning but want an expert to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day. That’s exactly what coordinators are for.
